New York International Independent Film and Video Awards

NOVEMBER 20, 2007 --

LPR was on hand for the NYIIFVF award ceremony at the China Club, earlier this month.  

The 45 honorees included: Karl Mynyk (best animation in a short film: "Bully Caterpillar"); Hafiz Farid (excellence in cinema for "Darfur: Too Dark Too Far"); Arune Kital (best actress: "Chepachet"), Steve Rahaman (best crime film: "Christmas Day"); Rick Ernst (Founders Choice award and best music documentary: "The Story of Thrash Metal"); Subash Thapa Magar and Anjana Budhathoki (best international director for their Nepalise documentary "A Tragedy for the Liberty"); Elizabeth Young (best student film: "Life Happens When You Are Making Other Plans.)

Entertainers included Frank Lucas, Jr., Angela Severiano and Janninve V.

Renata Lorenc was the producer.
