from the State Department's Wendy Sherman to the letter from the LPR proprietor pointing out that the Obama administration's threat to withdraw its support for Israel in international organizations is nothing new. The letter to Ms. Sherman noted that in 1949 the State Department issued such a threat to Israel if the Jewish state refused to take State's advice how to be conciliatory to the Arabs. LPR notes with interest that Ms Sherman has announced that she will soon be leaving the State Department. LPR does not claim that the aforesaid letter struck a chord in Ms. Sherman's conscience, or had anything to do with her decision to leave the department.
