Pondering
Primary Practicalities …
In a
primary race, these days, to be invincible
One must consider the party, and not the principle.

Flyboys …
The
restored Warner Theater in Torrington, after many years projector-less,
showed a movie, again, August 26, and this time it was a premiere --
of Tony Bill's Flyboys, a $60 million production about the Lafayette
Escadrille of World War I.
LPR intended to go to the occasion for photo op purposes, but was stymied when
two electric windows on the LPRmobile decided to stay half open.
LPR is not sure if this was the work of invisible tormentors, or of Good Geists,
perhaps protecting this writer from calamity. Fortunately, LPR got this photo
of a Flyboys poster (with the Warner in reflection) August 22.

Nein--Nine …
I don't care what they say
Those astronomers who have acted so arrogantly
Our solar system has only eight planets, they say
Well, Pluto, you will always be a planet to me

An Unsettling Irony …
I cannot claim to have been much of a student
But present perception suggests it would be prudent
To take back UN Security Council resolution 242
Lest we put the planet in a boundary stew
Resolution 242 was inspired by the Mideast conflict
But general instability if it's not rescinded I
predict
Violence by aggrieved groups that they justify as permissible
To regain land taken by force--since 242, deemed "inadmissible"
