"Dems Call for Taxes on Wealthy"

Is not a populist demand

Rather more a ploy not totally stealthy

By those who think power is grand

Our Mainstream Media in Action …

An Associated Press story by Charles Babington, December 16, reported that Norm Ornstein wanted Democrats to  schedule round the clock sessions in the House and Senate to call attention to Republican obstructionism.  Mr. Ornstein was identified as "a congressional scholar" at  "the right of center...American Enterprise Institute."  Please note that this ID does not necessarily tell us about  Mr. Ornstein, himself (probably a "liberal").  LPR's question: is it more likely or less likely that a conservative would urge Democrats to call attention to Republican obstructionism.

Botox or No Botox?

John Kerry

Rush Limbaugh, December 17, commenting on an unflattering photo of Hillary Clinton, posted on the Drudge Report, remarked that everyone  botoxes these days, and he added that John Kerry went the botox route in his 2004 campaign.   LPR went to Wisconsin for the state's presidential primary in 2004 and got a number of photos of Senator Kerry at his post-primary rally outside of Madison. Here is one of those images. Botox, or no botox?
