Time
for The Squeezed to Organize ...
New
York Times guest columnist Thomas B. Edsall suggested, November 18,
that Democrats are following the medieval practice of an alliance between
the haves and have nots as the way to keep the people on top -- on
top.
This suggests that the people in the middle, squeezed by top and bottom, are
in the Republican party. Accordingly,
the Dems are our Party of the Haves and the Have nots; the Republicans our
Party of The Squeezed.

Wonders ...
… if
Joe Lieberman joins the Senate Democratic caucus but votes on
key issues with Republicans so that Vice President Cheney can
break the 50-50 tie?
… if President Bush is more relaxed with Democrats as the majority in Congress?
… if Republicans will ever learn that for
Congressional Democrats bipartisanship means "my way or the highway"?

Predicts …
… by
January 1, 2007, Congressional Democrats will have made it clear
to everybody except the media, head-in-sand Republicans and zealous
leftists, that when they call on people to get along, they mean
-- fall in line and follow their command; when they call for
bi-partisanship, they are telling Republicans to yield to their
dictates; when they talk about civil liberties, they include
their liberty to act arbitrarily.

Political Projection …
When
a political progressive (euphemism for political oppressive)

This Interesting?
Talk
radio conservatives are finally noticing that Republicans are

Our
Facing Left Media …
Am
waiting for Howard Kurtz -- who acknowledged the media roots
for the left (this Washington Post writer said it was because
they want to see conflict, but as Rush Limbaugh suggested, is
it the
role of journalists to root for any side for any reason?) -- to assert that
although the election choices of his paper and The New York Times mainly were
followed by "D" (as in Democrat) the media is not
slanted towards the left.

Sen.
Clinton -- what about those "White House coffees"?
With
respect to your call for officials to listen to the people and
not to "special interests" your husband said the same
thing, basically, in his first Inaugural Address.

Make
your fortune; go into politics?
Senator
Clinton, a follow-up question: did you and your husband make
big bucks before going into politics, or, as in the case of Lyndon
B. and Ladybird Johnson -- after.

Keep
the Connecticut Agricultural Fair Going …
LPR
noticed an article on Yahoo News, October 29 about a fried treat that
uses Coca-Cola and strawberry syrup in the
batter, and was a hit at the Texas state fair. The article quoted a Coca Cola
executive as stating that fairs and festivals are "celebrations."
LPR hopes that the Connecticut State Grange, supported by grangers across Connecticut
and others outside the state, will find a way to keep the Connecticut Agricultural
Fair going and, thereby, let this celebration of Americana in Connecticut continue.
Governor Rell, please note.
