Is This Warranted?

This writer recently received a tax warrrant from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

More on this next LPR -- unless the state seizes this 5-year-old year lap-top.

(The warrant is accompanied by a paper warning about such actions, garnishments and the like. I do not recall having been invited to discuss the matter with the tax department.)

Question for City Hall …

Why are street surfaces in New York City in such bad shape?

November 10, 2009 --

Advisory for Erick Erickson …

If you are on OUR side, you will read LPR which happens to be written deep in grass roots. Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs, Michael Moore -- none of them have a clue as to life in grass roots. None of them. They have done very well hurling sand in their political sandbox, is all.

Now, are you, too, in the sandbox, or with us, The People?

Thank You, Beijing …

And speaking of Beck, Dobbs, Moore -- LPR seems recently to have been getting more visits from Beijing than from any other city. Thank you Beijing. At risk of brash immodesty, LPR thinks you will learn more about the USA from LPR than from Beck, Dobbs or Moore.

Proprietor's Note: The references above to Lou Dobbs were written before his on-air announcement, November 11, that he was leaving CNN. LPR sees no reason to link his CNN departure to these comments.
