Le Carre's De Facto Description of Russiagate

In his "Legacy of Spies" John le Carre describes the false defection of Alec Leamas, in le Carre's "The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, as "a fiendishly deception operation." For LPR, this well describes the scenario, apparently drafted in the intelligence community, to portray, quite falsely, presidential candidate Donald J. Trump[as a Russian puppet, continuing after Mr. Trump became president.

From Politico, January 11, 2017 (as mentioned by Sean Hannity)

"Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office....And they helped Clinton's allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found." The article was co-written by Kenneth P. Vogel, now an anti-Trump reporter at The New York Times. The Politico article is titled, "Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire." No wonder Democrats howl "impeachment" at requests from President Trump to Ukraine for information on the 2016 election and the Bidens.

What "bolster" is really about

The New York Times, October 7, said that Attorney General Barr and U.S. Attorney Durham are "seeking evidence that might bolster a conspiracy theory long nurtured by President Trump: that some of America's closest allies plotted with his 'deep state' enemies to try to prevent him from winning the presidency."

Bolster? How about "support?" For bolstering, see, for example, the October 7 lead headline in the Times: "SECOND PERSON/BLOWS WHISTLE,/ LEGAL TEAM SAYS."

Zelensky Drains the Ukraine Swamp

At the start of the Trump-Zelensky July 25 , phone conversation, President Zelensky confessed that in achieving political success in Ukraine, "I had an opportunity to learn from you. We used quite a few of your skills and knowledge and were able to use it as an example for our elections." The Ukraine leader went on to say "we are trying to work hard because we wanted to drain the swamp here in our country", and also gave this compliment to President Trump: "You are a great teacher for us and in that."

President Trump at the United Nations, September 24

"The future does not belong to globalists. The future belongs to patriots. The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations."

Meddling in Ukraine

In December 2013, United States Senators Chris Murphy (D.Ct.) and John McCain traveled to Kiev to gi ve their support to a throng protesting the Yanukovych presidency. Sen. McCain told the crowd that their destiny lies with Europe and Sen. Murphy said, "'Ukraine's future stands with Europe, and the U.S. stands with Ukraine." More recently, Sen. Murphy, in Kiev, was reported by John Solomon, at "The Hill" to have warned that bipartisan U.S. support for Ukraine could be threatened if President Zelensky agreed "to requests by President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani to investigate" corruption allegations about U.S. citizens, including Hunter Biden.

A New "Emoluments" Allegation?

President Zelensky told President Trump that on his last visit to New York City he stayed at the Trump Tower. Who will be the first Democrat to cite this as further evidence of Mr. Trump violating the emoluments clause by enriching himself by getting business from foreigners?
