A Question for Congress …

If Congress did encourage financial institutions to give mortgages to people they should have known would have difficulty to keep up with payments, is it not more likely than not that the financial institutions expected that Congress would bail them out when the mortgagors defaulted?

LPR encourages its clicksters to address this question to Congress and the media.

Richard Gere was at the Yankees-Orioles game at Yankee Stadium, September 21. About a year ago, LPR caught sight of the actor entering Fenway Park. Was he wearing a Red Sox cap last year?

A Subliminal Message from Olympic Commercials?

LPR was struck by two commercials in particular – the VISA commercial, with voice over that sounded like Morgan Freeman, a kinder voice is not heard on commercials, and a commercial about a pill that eases depression. The depression commercial made no reference to Visa collection policies as a possible cause of depression and anxiety. But then, it didn’t have to.
