LPR Does Not Expect ...

... that Brandeis University, which last April acceded to protests that Ayaan Hirsi Ali is an Islamophobe and canceled the honorary degree she was to receive from the school, will issue a statement saying that perhaps she has a better understanding of Islam, in all its manifestations, than university officials, after all.

Gov. Christie has No Use for Political Lost Causes

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, as head of the Republican Governors Association (how did that happen?) announced that he would provide
Rob Astorino no campaign funds in his race against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo because Astorino is a "lost cause." Alas, Astorino did not reply: "Gov. Christie, you must have forgotten the lesson of the Frank Capra movie "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington: --that 'lost causes...were the only causes worth fighting for.'" LPR sees Christie as a "Not-Democrat" rather than as a Republican. LPR expects that with Not-Democrats running the Republican Party, the GOP will go the way of the Whig Party by 2020.
