MARCH 3, 2009 --

LPR was back at Greenhouse to view the Academy Awards telecast. The evening was sponsored by The Organic Apple, co-hosted by Poull Brien (Way Over Budget Productions) and Jared Moshe (Sidetrack films). An open bar featured G'vine Ultra-Premium gin.

The telecast could be seen by the large turnout on two screens. LPR managed to get photos of the televised images but is concerned about repercussions from ABC or the Oscar people if it ran the images without permission. (LPR left a message at ABC requesting permission but did not get a callback.) Fortunately, LPR has a photo of Sean Penn, standing next to Susan Sarandon on the speaker's platform at an anti-war rally in Washington, D.C., January 27, 2007.

Mr. Penn was among the speakers at the rally. LPR thinks he was a more effective speaker as Harvey Milk (Perhaps his remarks at the rally were to be helpful when he got the Harvey Milk role?)
