Pleasure Island was that place in the Pinocchio story where little boys were taken to spend their time having fun. The catch was -- during the fun and games, the little boys were ...transformed... into jackasses who were then shipped off to work in such not funny places like salt mines.

Compare the recent remark of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney seeing a bright side to unemployment: enabling people to get free Obamacare. Please, Mr. Carney, say you are not looking transform the people into jackasses.
