July 19, 2022 -- The Wall Street Journal, in its lead, snarly editorial July 12 -- suggesting that Citizen Trump will lead the Democrats to victory in the midterm elections -- cited polls indicating that 75% of the people think the country (under Biden's leadership) is heading in the wrong direction. The ediorial concludes , however, by citing a Siena/New Yiork Times poll saying that Biden would beat Trump, 44% - 41% in a 2024 presidential rematch. If the American people overwhelmingly believe that Biden's leadership has proved to be wrong for the country, would they really prefer him over Trump in 2024? |
(LPR's hunch is that the universe of the Siena/New York Times poll was filled with Trump-haters) That's not to say that the folks afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome would not vote for (or stuff mailboxes with ballots marked for) our Big Mistake -- including the editorial writers and columnists at The Wall Street Journal.
