A Political Poll That Doesn't Compute

July 19, 2022 --

The Wall Street Journal, in its lead, snarly editorial July 12 -- suggesting that Citizen Trump will lead the Democrats to victory in the midterm elections -- cited polls indicating that 75% of the people think the country (under Biden's leadership) is heading in the wrong direction. The ediorial concludes , however, by citing a Siena/New Yiork Times poll saying that Biden would beat Trump, 44% - 41% in a 2024 presidential rematch.

If the American people overwhelmingly believe that Biden's leadership has proved to be wrong for the country, would they really prefer him over Trump in 2024?

(LPR's hunch is that the universe of the Siena/New York Times poll was filled with Trump-haters)

That's not to say that the folks afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome would not vote for (or stuff mailboxes with ballots marked for) our Big Mistake -- including the editorial writers and columnists at The Wall Street Journal.
