If They're "Populists" How Come They Don't Mention Federalist No. 57?
October 1, 2014 -- The Nation, September 29, carries an article, "Populist Dems Rising" that sees a "progressive populist tendency" gaining strength in the Demoicratic Party. The movement is viewed as "'the Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic Party.'" The article, by John Nichols, does not mention Federalist No. 57. |
For LPR, this is proof positive that while this movement may be "progressive" -- that is determined to tell Americans how to live their lives -- it sure ain't populist. Any, all the Democrats mentioned in the article are not likely to forego asking leftist millionaires and billionaires for campaign funds. |
