October 28, 2009 --

This was received in prompt response to LPR's October 28 query of the NYC Campaign Finance Board about the October 28 Public Advocate debate:

"The CFB is required by law to cancel any debates in which only one candidate makes the debate criteria. For the 2009 general election both debates for public advocate were cancelled."

David R. Zukerman has not, repeat NOT, cancelled his write-in campaign to be next Public Advocate and see to it to see that ordinary citizens are not pushed around, AND if the First Amendment is still applicable in NYC, will be pleased to debate the Public Advocate post with Bill de Blasio and whoever else is in the race.
