MAY 21, 2006 --

Outside Yankee Stadium, weekend before last, LPR noticed a sign announcing that the May 31 road game with Detroit will be shown in Bryant Park. Bryant Park is at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue -- back of the main branch of the New York Public
Library.

LPR spotted this sign announcing the Bryant Park viewing of the Yankees vs. Detroit.

Bryant Park is the site of outdoor movie screenings, Broadway events, and fashion shows, among other special events. Visitors to Manhattan should just look for the trees in the middle of the skyscrapers with the Chrysler Building a couple of blocks east on 42nd Street. The crowd in the accompanying photo was at Bryant Park two years ago, for a free Broadway concert.

And last Saturday, LPR noticed a sign at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and 42nd Street telling passersby that professional beach volleyball will be
played in Brooklyn's Coney Island, in August. It is, after all, an Olympic sport.

Pro Beach Volleyball is coming to NYC in August.

Will any of the people at this Bryant Park Broadway concert, two years ago, return to watch the Yankees-Detroit game, May 31?

Will any of these Yankee fans be at Bryant Park to watch the Yankees play Detroit in Comerica Park?
