NYC & Company
marked the 15th anniversary of Restaurant Week, July 6, with a ceremony
at Tribeca Grill inducting the original participants into the Restaurant
Week Hall of Fame.
During this 10-day event, July 10-14 and 17-21, some 200 participating restaurants
will offer a three course lunch for $24.07 and/or a three course dinner for
$35, not including drinks, tip, or tax.
NYC & Company President Cristyne Nicholas presented engraved plates to
chefs from 12 of the city's top restaurants: Aquavit, Barbetta, Brasserie,
Cafe des Artistes, Capsouto Freres, Dawat, Gallagher's Steak House, The Palm,
Sen Domenico NY, Tribeca Grill, Tropica, and Water Club.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the 15th anniversary cake was reduced to
pieces -- consumed by those attending (including LPR).
