June 10, 2009 --

Late on May 20, this writer received a email about a foiled terrorist plot nearby.

As nothing had happened, the email was not read in full. Then again, if something terrible happened, this writer would not have had to hear about it; have would have heard it.

Two synagogues in the Riverdale section of The Bronx were reported to have been the targets of terrorists: Riverdale Jewish Center and Riverdale Temple.

This writer lives two blocks from the RJC and not much farther from the temple.

This writer has spoken to a few people who are suspicious -- about the alleged plot, not about the alleged plotters.

Thank heaven we have the luxury, after May 20, of such speculation.
