Producer Pitcher Makes
Pitch for Reds

AUGUST 28, 2005 --

Producer starter (and also producer of The Producers and president of Jujamcyn Theaters) Rocco Landesman was seen at the last day of the Broadway Show League season wearing a Cincinnati Reds cap.

Previously, Landesman has worn a St. Louis Cardinals cap, and a Mobile, Ala. minor league team cap when on the mound.

On August 25, LPR asked Landesman about the Reds cap.

He quickly replied that he wanted to buy the team, adding that he hoped he was not "being presumptuous.".

LPR here publishes three photos of Landesman, one showing him at bat and two showing him pitching his first game, August 25 against "All Shook Up," won by
the defending Broadway Show League champions 6-3.

As far this this website is concerned, these photos are all the evidence Rocco Landesman should need to bring to the attention of Major League Baseball to be
approved as the new owner the Cincinnati Reds.

(In the second Producers game that day, against Beauty and the Beast, Landesman pitched another eight innings. Last year, he beat Beauty. This time, Beauty and the Beast won and is the 2005 BSL champion.)

And, next year -- let's have a softball game consisting of the owners of the major league teams against a squad of all stars from the Broadway Show League.

But, as the Heckscher softball fields in Central Park will be under renovation, next season, let's have this game in Yankee Stadium.
