Miles from the Mainstream
D. R. ZUKERMAN, proprietor

Mr. .and Mrs.  Alex Rodriquez
and Scott Boras

NOVEMBER 2, 2007 --

LPR first posted this image after A-Rod hit his 500th home run in Yankee Stadium, last August.  At the time, LPR did not know the identity of the man in the blue shirt.   An informed source recently told LPR that the gentleman is A-Rod's agent, Scott Boras, recently profiled in The New Yorker, yes, The New Yorker.

The photo shows the A-Rods and Mr. Boras leaving Yankee Stadium.  The next time A-Rod leaves The Stadium, he will likely not be leaving as a Yankee.

LPR's rough calculation is that this soon-to-be-a-former Yankee seeks a contract that will pay him about $700 thousand a week.  LPR is not prepared, at this point, to say that A-Rod is a member of the Conspiracy to Give Capitalism a Bad Name. There is speculation that he will join the New York Mets whose next playing area will be named for Citibank -- fortunately not for HSBC or Bank of America.

LPR Reminder to A-Rod:  He who turns into gold, all that he touches is doomed to starve.
