The State of the Union Address, Briefly Noted -- with link to the text

March 5, 2022 --

President Biden presented a "Pie in the Sky" address to the Nation on March 1.

He included the promise that our troops will not fight in Ukraine, but seemed to suggest that, if necessary, our troops will fight to defend the territory of NATO members.   (What if, somehow, Ukraine becomes a NATO member?)

LPR read the text of the address as provided by the New York Times.

The text provided by the Times includes this curious statement attributed to President Biden:  "Putin may circle Kyiv with tanks, but he'll never gain the hearts of the Iranian people."

President Biden, per the text provided by the Times, concluded by calling on the Almighty to bless America, and also our troops, ending with these words:  "Go get 'em."   It is not clear if the three closing words are to be understood as an exhortation to our service men and women to...get the Russians.
