LPR views this CBS covert ops action series, created by David Mamet, based on Eric L. Haney's "Inside Delta Force," as an update of the original "Mission:Impossible" (starring Steve Hill), which also appeared on CBS -- in the 1960's.

Politically correct "The Unit" is not. A recent episode did not reflect well on members of Congress. A previous episode had Jonas Blane (Dennis Haysbert) shoot a bad guy in cold blood. And yes, LPR has become hooked on "The Unit."

LPR would have no objection if Kiefer Sutherland brought his "24" character to a "Unit" episode -- giving him the chance to tell Jonas, "Did anyone ever tell you that you look a lot like President Palmer?"
