A True Coincidence

JANUARY 22, 2006 --

January 16, LPR was in the vicinity of the Riverside Drive wall collapse, last May and took some pictures to let LPR clicksters know the present condition of
the wall.

The morning after sending its photo of the wall to LPR's terrific webmaster
Terri Fassio at skullco.com, this writer got the Sunday Times and noted with a great amount of interest a similar photo on the front page of the Metro section, with a story noting that after eight months there seems little progress at the site.

The wall on Riverside Drive is still in a state of collapse, 8 months later…

LPR also took a photo of the Plaza Lafayette roadway, around the corner of the wall collapse -- at the west end of 181st Street. As the accompanying photo shows, the roadway is not in terrific shape, either.

The site of the wall collapse and Plaza Lafayette is just above the George Washington Bridge, which also seems to have work pending on its eastern tower.
