Is the Never Trump Campaign about to collapse?

February 5, 2018 --

This is from the New York Times editorial, January 31, 2018, on the State of the Union speech, in part:

"So far, the reaction against his authoritarian impulses, assault on truth and cruelties great and petty has revealed abiding American strengths. Despite the strong economy, Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of this presidency."

LPR expects the htryly authoritarian, anti-democratic Never Trumpers will continue their efforts to undermine the Trump presidency.

This aim has become the essence of their politics. But how much longer will their anti-Trump screeching maintain a smidgen of credibility with the people?

The collapse of the Never Trump movement would be very much in the spirit of the president's call, during the speech, "'to set aside our differences, to seek out common ground and to summon the unity we need to deliver for the people.'"

Or, to say it a bit differently, let the "common good" spirit of Federalist No. 57 guide this quite remarkable president.
