The Trump Peace Plan
for Israel and the Palestinians

February 5, 2020 --

Among other things, the Trump Mideast Peace Plan gives Israel a strip of land down the Jordan River Valley as well as Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria, with Israel retaining a security presence on Palestinian land. Israel also agrees to halt settlement activity for four years.  The Palestinians, among other things get an artery connecting Gaza and 70 percent of the West Bank,  and also $50 billion provided that renounce terrorism and make peace with the Jewish State.  LPR has a hunch that if the Palestinians remain obdurate, Israel will unilaterally annex the Jordan valley and the Jewish settlements.

The negative tone of The New York Times to the Trump plan is indicaed from the concluding sentence of its January 31 editorial, "Mr. Trump's Middle East Peace Plan" -- It's a safe bet that neither [President Trump nor Prime Minister Netanyahu] grasped that by exploiting something as consequential as the Israel-Palestinian conflict for a political fix they on ly underlined the misuse of power of which they both stand accused."  LPR wonders, does the Times want House Democrats to add the Trump Mideast Peace plan as a third article of impeachment?   Nowhere in the editorial is there recognition that the Trump plan has the support of many capital in the Arab world.
