1. If Rep. Liz Cheney loses that August 16 Wyoming House seat primary to Harriet Hageman, Ms. Cheney will land a cushy commentator's spot at one of the media outlets in Washington, D.C., the vast majority being anti-Trump.

2. After the "Jan. 6" inquisition completes its dastardly work, The Wall Street Journal will publish an editorial warning that no committee of Congress must ever again be permitted to ignore its own rules, simple fairness, due process and ordinary decency -- or the phrase "No one is above the law" will lose all meaning, and the words "arbitrary and capricious" will inform official conduct on Capitol Hill, writing finis to the idea of orderly, democratic representative government.

(Note that, hitherto, the Journal has tolerated the workings of this rogue committee, accepting its persecution of former president Trump.)
