The Supreme Court of the United States recently ruled that the tax records of former president Trump should be turned over to the House Select Committee on January 6. The first question that comes to mind: what on earth do these tax records have to do with January 6, 2021. Were they due on January 5, 2021. LPR doesn't think so. Is there a law requiring a president to turn over his tax records to Congress? Again, LPR doesn't think so.

Could it be possible that the justices decided to avoid mobs howling outside their residences if they ruled in favor of the 45th president -- especially as the Biden Administration has evinced no interest in protecting judges from mobs of intimidation?
