APRIL
24, 2005 --
Is there a deal in the works between the Yankees and the Lotte Marines of Japan's
Pacific League?
LPR spotted Japanese media rushing to get an interview, outside Yankee Stadium,
early last week, and learned that the interviewee is Ryuzo Setoyama, general
manager of the Lotte Marines, a game and a half behind Soft Bank, as of April
23.
And while outside the ballpark, LPR noticed a pizza delivery in progress. Fans,
of course, are not permitted to bring food into the ballpark. (Years ago, one
of the treats going to a Yankees double-header, was to bring sandwiches from
a deli. But then, double-headers are gone, too.)

(Presently in second place, back of Soft Bank, by a game
and a half). LPR snapped this photo of him being interviewed
by Japanese TV outside Yankee Stadium, last Monday.

Pizza
Anyone? Not if you're a Yankees fan entering into the
Stadium. But LPR photogaphed this pizza delivery, indicating
that although fans can't bring food into Yankee Stadium,
someone can order out.
