VOTE: Viewing Outside The Event

OCTOBER 10, 2004 --

LPR was outside Yankee Stadium October 5 and again on October 6, and got photos of Yankees going to the
ballpark for the playoff series with Minnesota.

(Travel advisory to anyone going to the Stadium for the Yankees - Red Sox league championship series: avoid annoyance, anxiety and aggravation: get to the ballpark at least an hour before gametime.)

The bricks that constitute Babe Ruth Plaza outside of Yankee Stadium are crumbling.

Quite the fold in the road developing outside of Yankee Stadium.

A new bus pulls over the road fold.

LPR also noticed some lamentable conditions in the vicinity of Yankee Stadium. Babe Ruth Plaza, on 161st
Street, behind left field, is crumbling -- and the 161st Street roadway, adjacent to the crumbling plaza, has begun to heave and fold.

A great view of Yankee Stadium on October 5, 2004.

Getting ready for the game vs. Minnesota, on October 6th.

LPR was amazed that late in the October 6 game ticketholders were not in their seats watching the exciting game, but were browsing in the Yankee Store,
behind home plate.

And LPR also noticed that in the extra-innings, with the score tied, people could be seen leaving the ballpark, leaving in large numbers, prompting LPR to wonder how many people were left in the ballpark at games end, to see the home team win?

This photo of Rudy Giuliani and his wife Judy was snapped right after the Yankees' win Wednesday night -- where LPR might have been the only photographer outside ballpark to get a photo of the Giulianis, who were clearly happy about the Yankees' extra-inning win.

Two people who remained to see the end of the game were Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Giuliani, who were spotted by LPR smiling broadly, after the game, and paused for an
LPR photo.

Also spotted after the game was City
Council Speaker Gifford Miller, who was singing "New York, New York," as he left the ballpark with two aides.
