GOP Viability and The New York Times

July 2, 2013 --

Does anyone seriously think that The New York Times is concerned about the viability of the Republican Party?

Yet, there The New York Times was, in its lead editorial, June 9, warning Republicans that their "political recklessness" in opposing immigration reform would destroy Republican viability with Hispanic voters.

What the New York Times was trying to do, of course, was to lull Republicans into approving immigration reform that the Times believed would destroy GOP viability for all time.

Times columnist Ross Douthat, June 23, noted that where the Obama administration is concerned with immigration reform, climate change and gun control, Americans, as reported by the Pew Research Center, are concerned with the economy, health care costs and entitlement reform.

LPR has a hunch that the Obama administration stands very tall indeed in opposition to any entitlement reform that would endanger the entitlements to power and wealth to which the ruling leftists have become accustomed.
