MARCH 31, 2008 --

LPR noticed these signs  on a Washington Mutual branch window in Newark, New Jersey, March 27.  

With the latest interest rate charged on this writer's Washington Mutual credit card at 29.74%, "Whoo hoo!" indeed.

There being no joy for this writer in a 29.74% interest rate, Washington Mutual seems to have invited him  to feel the pain of credit card interest.

(Btw: Washington Mutual refers to itself, at times, as "WaMu." To this credit card interest- thumped writer, "Whammo!" would be more accurate.)
