APRIL 1, 2009 --
What did he know and when did he know it? LPR is wondering if this question was shredded after President Nixon resigned, August, 1974. U.S. Senator Chris Dodd, (D-Ct.) -- here shown outside Yankee Stadium before a 2004 Red Sox-Yankees playoff game (Dodd rooted for the Red Sox, as his sweater might indicate) -- apparently first denied he knew that AIG people were getting bonuses of a million dollars and up, and later admitted to having prior knowledge.
LPR thinks the what-did-he-know-and-when-did-he-know-it question should be asked of other Washington officials, from the president down. Unless, of course, the media has shredded it -- or erased all tapes it appeared on.
There was, also, a three word bit of advice, heard in the mid-1970's, but seemingly forgotten, today: "follow the money."
If anyone has knowledge that this counsel is being applied in Washington, today, please contact LPR.
