Work on YS II Continues

JANUARY 11, 2008 --

The original Yankee Stadium was recognizable for the facade that topped the upper deck from left field to right field.  This facade was removed from the upper deck with the renovation of the 1970.

An echo of that facade was placed on the bleachers and is visible from outside the ballpark as shown in the accompanying photo.

Last week, LPR noticed that it seems  a new version of the old facade is being placed on Yankee Stadium II.  LPR continues to wonder: what is to become of Yankee Stadium I.
